Tuesday Tip - "Know what is Important" April 19th, 2011

This week's tip is simple..."Know what is Important."  This past Saturday Southeastern NC was devastated by a string of severe tornadoes...it was a scene that had been repeated over six states.  I toured four of the 26 affected NC counties and there are no words to adequately describe the trail these storms left.

I appreciate your follow.  We are getting back to the normal "Tuesday Tip" next week and again welcome any tips you want to share or items you would like for us to discuss.

Thanks,

Tuesday Tip for April 12th, 2011

I know as outdoorsman we hear many people discussing safety.  Although today's tip deals with safety  it deals more with the mobile phone and why I believe it is the one piece of equipment every outdoorsman should have on them.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks tip.  If you have tip suggestions or comments do not hesitate to comment below or e-mail me at rb@rbwrightoutdoors.com

Thanks for your follow.

This was really fun...

By now it is no secret to anyone that know me that I truly like Camp Dog Cajun Seasoning.  What you may not know is that Papa Scott has introduced two new combos under the r.b. choices. (yes that makes me smile a little)  The combos are "Batter Up and Hush" and "Shake, Batter, and Roll".  Both of the combos contain Papa Scott's Famous Fish Fry Batter and hush Puppy Mix and the second combo also includes a can of Camp Dog Cajun Seasoning.  This past weekend I went to a fish fry at the home of some very good friends of mine.  I surprised them with the "Shake, Batter, and Roll" Combo and one of our cameras.  We had a great time introducing them to Camp Dog.  Take a couple of minutes and watch the clip below and see the "true results" of this impromptu taste test.

If you are new to Camp Dog or if you are a long time user ... I want to hear what you think about this product.  You can e-mail me (rb@rbwrightoutdoors.com) or leave a comment here.

Thanks for your follow and I look forward to hearing from you.

April 5th, 2011 - Tuesday's Tip - "Tandem Nymph Rig"

I have always looked at a master fly fisherman as a “true outdoor artist.” Recently I had the privilege of fishing with such an artist. Professional guide Gordon Vanderpool of Turning Stones Fly Fishing is based in Franklin, NC. Although I have had some experience fly fishing, I asked Gordon to treat me as though I was one of clients who knew nothing about the sport. Gordon does an excellent job of explaining in detail the how, where, and why of fly fishing. I look to forward to releasing the two part video segment that includes an in-depth interview with Gordon in the next couple of weeks.

With spring in the air - fly fishing is on the mind of many of our viewers and followers. I thought it would be a great time to feature Gordon on this week’s Tuesday Tip. Make certain you watch the video below for detailed instructions on how to set-up and fish the “Tandem Nymph Rig.”

I greatly appreciate your follow and hope that you enjoyed this week’s Tuesday Tip.

I would like to hear from you - If you have a tip that you would like to see featured on this weekly segment make certain to e-mail me at rb@rbwrightoutdoors.com.

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.
